WPCE Manual Tool Trap
The tool trap is a safety device of wireline pressure control equipment. The Tool Trap is normally installed immediately above the wireline BOP. The purpose of manual tool trap is to retain any wireline downhole equipment that maybe accidentally pulled off inside the lubricator and prevent it from falling down into the well. Because the cable is accidently stretched breaking or released after the instrument sting is lifted to the lubricator from the well. The tool trap is normally closed when it is stopped and is put into the well to work.
Various quick union configurations can be supplied for the upper and lower connections but for optimum weight reduction and full service specification,
lightweight quick union should be used.
